Lethal Weapon 3 combines sights, sounds, and themes from all three Lethal Weapon movies. Speech clips from Mel Gibson and Joe Pesci and music from C+C Music Factory and ZZ Top compliment the fast-paced game that requires a quick draw to beat the bad guys.
Lethal Weapon 3 features three jet bumpers, two ramps, two banks of drop targets, two spinners, several multi-ball modes, and gun handle ball launch that is used during the Shoot Out once the six bullet targets have been completed. The gun handle is also used doing the five different stunts to collect points.
The game uses the dot matrix display for a number of modes to show chase scenes, explosions, various movie stunts, and characters. The game also has a shooting gallery video mode. Use the gun to shoot the bad guys as they appear on the screen, but don’t shoot the helpless bystanders. And if a cow appears, shoot it for one million points.
The multi-ball mode draws the player into hitting a series of targets or shots within a limited amount of time. One mode requires hitting the saucers then the Freeway ramp. The other requires multiple hits on the Freeway ramp. Points build as each jackpot is reached culminating in a Quadruple Jackpot that starts at forty million points!
